Sydney Fireworks – New Year's Eve
To experience New Years celebrations in Sydney has been on our buckets list for many years. On our third trip to Australia we finally made it. There are several spots around the city from where to see the fireworks. A lot of them requires a purchase of ticket to get access. There are a few open areas that also get a good view however you probably have to get there real early in the morning or spend the night to get a decent view.
We purchased tickets to access the Harbour Party 2018 at Luna Park Sydney. This gave an amazing view of the New Years Eve Fireworks from Milsons Point. From there we got beautiful views of both the bridge and the Sydney opera house at the same time.
As the fireworks came to an end, the boats in the inner harbor left the area in a boat parade. As we later on, walked over the Harbor bridge back to center of town we got beautiful views of Sydney harbor from above.

I really believe that 9/11 is the moment all of the country's current problems can be traced back to. It was a horrific, scarring attack that the nation never really healed from. The wars we became involved in as a result of the attacks caused so much strife and turmoil...Alex Jones, for you youngins reading this, got his start here! Only then he was hawking conspiracies about the "Bilderberg Group" instead of the Deep State. He didn't catch mainstream notoriety until Sandy Hook. The aftermath of 9/11 throughout President Bush's administration lead to President Obama's administration and his message in 2008 of "Hope and Change" - which was met with such visceral opposition by the right it, for the first time, lead to people believing they can say "not my president." In stark opposition to the filth and hatred that flows out of Trump's mouth, John McCain, the 2008 Republican nominee and famous Senator, DEFENDED President Obama as a good man when an elderly lady believed he was "Arab" because of Fox News (ua-cam.com/video/JIjenjANqAk/v-deo.html - at 30 seconds). The visceral hate and fear the people in the above video genuinely felt was fed by a nonstop propaganda machine called Fox News and right-wing "alternative media" which culminated under Donald Trump's administration. The powder keg of neo-fascism in the country, fomenting under the Obama administration, exploded under Trump. Neo-nazis in this country always existed, and otherwise good, genuine, and honest people, arguably like those in the above linked video, were deceived by a charlatan who told them what they wanted to hear. So, he won the election. Trump, and the social media landscape, allowed neo-fascism to go mainstream. Pandora was let out of the box. And now, on 6/20/2024 (the day of this writing), the United States Supreme Court may and is expected to release a decision tomorrow about Whether and to what extent a president may be criminally prosecuted for acts allegedly occurring within the scope of his official duties. That's because his supporters believed they had a right to overthrow the government and stop the peaceful transfer of power. He gave them the green light. The United States was supposed to be better than this. Please, vote for President Biden. Like it or not, his presidency is essential to restoring our country to normalcy.

How anybody cannot see what is happening here is beyond me. When Obama was elected I watched this country split in two. I'll never forget 2 years later when Congress went back home to their constituents, some beat up old biker chick literally crying to her congressman that "I want my country back". If that fat lunatic gets reelected, and worse, if congress turns red (hell even if it doesn't) this experiment is over. VOTE FOR BIDEN EVEN IF YOU ARE UNHAPPY WITH HIS AGE AND WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE MIDDLE EAST.

It's funny when people try to lecture us on history when they weren't even born yet. These desensitized larva have no bearing on the effects we felt since the very day it happened. It seems almost abstract, as if the world that existed before it belonged to another universe, another time, and it was stolen away from us. The 90s were our last golden age. We were exponentially happier than any internet-addicted kid today.

The universe is amazing, something bad happens and also good things happens, almost like it's meant to be, this new generation wouldn't be here if 9/11 didn't happen, which is a good thing and bad thing. So we just have to accept these things and focus on the future.
